Inspiration from Marie Forleo on Living Your Purpose and Winning a B-School Scholarship

A Must-See: Below watch my favorite interview from MarieTV that has inspired and encouraged me immensely where she interviews Mastin Kipp on Living Your Purpose

Marie Forleo is a creative force with a passionate heart for helping others that you can see in all she does. She’s been interviewed by Oprah Winfrey and Tony Robbins and is the founder of MarieTV and B-School that will both give you valuable information about building a business of your dreams, make you laugh out loud and touch your heart. I’ve been inspired by Marie’s work for years now and look up to her as a mentor, role model and fellow multi-passionate entrepreneur.

Recently I applied for a B-School scholarship and would love to have your support as I boldly am taking steps to help Dreamfleur and this community flourish so I can help women and youth discover and pursue their purpose and creative passions even more effectively. Watch the video above where I share my story and heart behind my dreams and and if you enjoy it leave a comment and like on Youtube to help spread the word, I appreciate your support!

Thank you Marie for sowing into my life so much already! Best wishes to anyone else who is applying for a B-School scholarship! To anyone else who sees this and has a business they would like to grow, check out B-School and find out how can help your dreams come to fruition: http://joinbschool.com

Why I’m Applying to B-School

Over the past few years I’ve overcome difficult circumstances and have gotten clarity on my purpose and dreams with the help of mentors. Now I’m ready to share what I’ve learned about following your calling with others and need expertise on how to reach those assigned to me!

When it comes to marketing I feel like I’m floundering instead of flourishing. I would love to glean from your wisdom on how to reach those I am meant to serve through creative branding and encouraging them to overcome their past and follow their dreams and cultivate their purpose by nourishing others with their stories.

After years of feeling isolated in my business it would also be a joy to be part of such a vibrant community of creative dreamers and doers (and will happily dance bomb and encourage others while I’m there, watch the video to see;). I love watching the other entries from everyone else who has applied, there are so many inspiring women in Marie’s community, click here to take a look!

To everyone here, continue following your dreams – they are there for a reason beyond what you can imagine or see…don’t let us miss out on seeing you come alive and being enriched by your story and beauty!

Revive Your Buried Dreams and Let Your Pain Fuel Your Purpose (Sneak Peak of My Song On The Outside)

Have you ever uncovered a dream you’ve had since you were a kid and realized it was still alive? Often the passions you had, what you’re afraid to do and the pain you endured are purpose pointers of how God wants you to bring hope to others… weed out fear and dare to unbury and nurture those dormant dreams today…

“On the Outside” is the first song I attempted to write as a teen girl more than 12 years ago about struggling with years of loneliness, shyness, insecurity and the fear of being myself. I was too afraid to pursue my dream of singing for fear of not measuring up and being rejected. This year I’m going to finish this song for the girl I was and other girls like me to tell them that they have great purpose and about what set me free. Here’s a raw songwriting sneak peek…

Creative Clean Up: Kellin Makes Neatness His Business

Kellin is a teen and my fellow NFTE alum who decided to meet a need by creating a business called King’s Cleanup where he cleans houses that are under foreclosure so that the owners can sell them. A tip he gives on starting your business is to plan and to figure out how you’re going to fund your start up costs.

Love and Cheerios: Kids React to Commercial

Even before my college research paper that I did on youth and how they respond to race I’ve been intrigued with this topic. Watch this video that reassures us that kids see the world from a purer perspective. The Fine Brothers put together a montage showing how kids respond to a Cheerios commercial featuring an interracial couple that was deemed controversial by some. I relate to how many of the kids responded, how about you?

Arise & Shine Dare Dreamer: Snippet of My Song’s Lyric Video

Is there a dream that you’ve buried because it’s seemed impossible or impractical? For the longest time I have done just this but as I encourage you to pursue your dreams even while you are afraid, I have to muster up the courage to do the same myself.

A while back I shared how I have been pursuing my dream of inspiring others through music. In the past few months I’ve been taking vocal lessons, doing songwriting sessions, setting up meetings with mentors, working on recordings and music video concepts and following this dream little by little, bit by bit.

Above is an animation showing a snippet of a lyric video for my first song “Arise and Shine (Dare Dreamer)” and a little venturing into stop-motion (I love trying new things this idea was sparked after I saw Moriah Peters’ music video for her song “Bloom.”) The lyrics in the clip above say:

“Arise and Shine, Dare Dreamer can’t you see you’re full of purpose and possibility! So arise and shine O Sleeper, don’t give up now dare, Dreamer, arise and shine Dear Dreamer come alive!” That’s my message to YOU today and everyday!

Stay tuned as I further share the journey of making this dream a reality, I’d love to hear how you are daring to live the life you’ve always dreamed!

We all suffer if you keep your dreams buried inside – Arise and Shine!
