Be In Perfect Peace: Encouragement & Song for You to Overcome
I hope you’ve been able to stay creative and thrive even in quarantine. I wanted to share this rough draft snippet of a song in-progress (and beginning of an illustration) that I wrote recently – itâs a wonder how you can be inspired when youâre inside all day đ đđ˝. I was actually listening to Pastor Toure at The Potterâs House at One LAâs message in March titled âAll We Do Is Winâ (check out the archives for the replay – itâs powerful) and the lyrics to this song began coming to me.
The theme is how God can surround us in His love â¤ď¸ & give us His perfect peace even when we donât know how to be peaceful and we are surrounded by darkness and anxiety. Some of my mentors throughout my life have said to speak and declare the Word aloud even if you donât feel like it or your circumstances donât look like what you have faith for. God spoke the world into motion and tells us to speak truth because the power of life is in our tongue.

Remember how at the beginning of our lives we were so free to dream and believed anything was possible? Those dreams you have in your heart are still possible and waiting on you to rise up into them. Over time as life happened and we experienced hardships we began to loose our wonder and the brightness in our eyes. â¨
That was my story and God awakened me to the fact that I was sleepwalking and had let go of the dreams He placed in my heart, giving over to fear and depression. I began pursuing them again and have seen so many amazing things come into fruition as I stepped out.
I want to encourage you to embrace your purpose and passions and take action toward them today – youâll never know what can happen if you donât try. Reclaim your childlike faith and creativity and give yourself permission to dream again. đ
Over the weekend I was speaking with a client who Iâm helping to launch her website for her business and she spoke about how she had so many ideas in her head that she never stepped out on. So many people have dreams theyâve been afraid to pursue because they donât know how and if they are worthy but God places those seeds in our hearts to be watered and nourished because they are possible and vital in our world to bring light and hope. đĽ
Itâs my passion to help others birth their dreams and Iâm taking a group of people on a journey of overcoming their hindrances and reclaiming their dreams and launching them by building a business, website and platform they love to reach the people they were made to impact. Dream Bigger: Motivational Entrepreneurship Workshops for Kids, Youth and Adults
Itâs never too early or too late to dream bigger! đ Iâve enjoyed the past few weeks doing workshops and classes on Dreaming Big, entrepreneurship, creative careers like acting, filmmaking and the arts to inspire kids and youth to open their hearts to the kind of dreams they can delve into even right where they are – they donât have to wait till theyâre adults to dream and live big.

The kids Iâve worked with have been writing scripts and filming their ideas, coming up with business ideas, dreaming up careers theyâre passionate about and itâs so awesome to see how excited they get hearing stories of people who dream big, invent new creations and break open paths that are beyond what theyâve seen before.

The same goes for us all – dare to dream beyond whatâs normal and expected – you may be someone who blazes a trail that others are waiting to walk on to reach their unique calling. Dream, live and love for a greater purpose and inspire those young and more seasoned around you to do so as well!

Dare Dreamer Inspirational Music and Movies for Youth Project: Support the Movement
Umm…can I just make up my own category of music: Comedy rap for kids? I was tired hearing my kinder and elementary kids sing songs that were totally age inappropriate so I took matters into my own hands – positive rap for the younginâs – call me Queen J. Love (I think – I just made that up right nowđ
). I wrote and rapped this song âI Believe in Loveâ for fun for my teen girls (they kept begging me to rap for themđ) and they were jamminâ and hyping me up so Iâm going to look into producing it professionally for them. In the meantime hereâs my homemade version… The theme is finding a higher love then what the world hypes up. Guess what? Youâre loved, by the One above K? Believe it…

âOnce upon a little girl, I had so many dreams – I wore my crown all day couldnât tell me I wasnât royal -tea, life was a fairytale my very own Disney movie- then I got tripped up by something that they call reality cause, I believed in love, one day my prince would come, I had my dress picked out and one day I would find the one. The way my parents fought though…Iâm not sure thatâs how itâs done – what about a happy ending, what happened to the true love?â Stay tuned for when I drop the official version of this song…đ
