One dream can truly change the world – when people come together for a greater vision! The film SELMA brings to life a relevant glimpse of the human experience through the dream of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and is powerful and timely – with truths this world truly needs. SELMA is a must see and the message goes deeper into the spirit and far beyond what’s on the surface of the issues we faced then and today.

Why This Film is So Important: What happened in Selma we see happening today is more than a race issue – it’s a spirit issue. We are spirit having a human experience in unique, beautiful vessels that Love created. Darkness tries to keep us from seeking deeper truth and distracts us from seeing Light by having us focus on what we see – the temporary.

We’ve warred among ourselves since the beginning of history but the real issues in life are rooted in the greatest battle at hand – against darkness and principalities, for spirit and eternity. From the genesis of our world to the revelation we have now, it’s time to come back, to return to love and the way God meant our lives to be.

I loved hearing the stories behind the making of this story, watch the full press conference for the SELMA movie below, with the actors, producers and more including David Oyelowo, Jeremy Kleiner, Oprah Winfrey, Tim Roth, Common, Tom Wilkinson, Dede Gardner, Carmen Egojo, Andrew Holland and director Ava DuVernay.

It may have seemed like a strange way to save the world but there’s such mystery and beauty in the way Love came down to be with us, rescue us from darkness and experience life as us so we can live with Him forever. Just as Mary let God’s dreams flourish through her life – plans that were greater and deeper than she could imagine – let’s do the same and be carriers of love and the greatest dream. Remember in this season and in the upcoming year that with God, nothing is impossible.

God is always greater than our circumstances and His purpose and promises are forever true. Often what you loved to do and dreamed of as a child is a clue and purpose-pointer to what you’re called to do today…

One of my dreams since I was a little girl was to be an entrepreneur and share my art and inspiration with the world. I recently found some of my first business plans that I created with Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) at NFTE South Florida and realized I’ve been an entrepreneur for over 20 years since I was in elementary school and running my current business Envibrance Dream Studios that I started as a teen for 10!

I want to pay it forward and share mentorship and wisdom by giving the gift of entrepreneurship to other young dreamers (or the kid in you, remember when you dreamed and was creative without limits?) with this awesome book “The Parents’ Guide to Raising CEO Kids” by Dr. Jerry Cook and Sarah L. Cook. My story is featured here along with other inspiring entrepreneurs of all ages with great advice on how to start a business and cultivate entrepreneurship no matter where you are in life.
