Education Observation [OLD]
Do you have super vision to see what is really happening in a classroom? Put your skills to the test!
Classroom Observation:
1. Review the observation instrument to prepare before entering the 6th grade math classroom you will observe.
2. Watch the first 5-7 minutes of the Observation Video simulation of a classroom and take notes on what stands out to you, both positive and negative.

3. Fill out your observation form individually and make any additional comments. (Suggested 2-3 minutes)
4. Discuss your observations as a group and compare what commonalities and differences there are in your observations. (Suggested 2-3 minutes)
5. Watch the Post Observation Conversation Video and compare to see how another supervisor commented on the teacher’s lesson and instruction.
Post-Observation Conversation:
6. Bonus: Discuss what skills and factors you think are most important in observation based on the reading in Chapter 13.
